Inspiration through honest conversation
I am Tony Martignetti, a leadership coach, entrepreneur, idea generator, people connector, and a curious adventurer. I bring together practical experience, formal training, and extreme curiosity, to elevate leaders and equip them with the tools to navigate through change.
I love helping people find clarity in their lives, so they are energized, fully present, and unstoppable. When leaders unlock their potential and lead from a place of inspired purpose, they impact and inspire everyone around them. I have dedicated myself to helping people live a life of inspired purpose.
Before I became a coach, I was a finance and strategy professional with experience working with some of the world’s leading life sciences companies. Along my journey, I also managed small businesses and ran a financial consulting company.
As I share my story, I want to leave you with three key lessons I learned along the way to help you on your journey from where you are now to where you would like to be.
Growing up as a child of an immigrant, I was taught that honest hard work is the only way to get ahead in life, and the harder you work, the more you could achieve. Naturally, this led me to become an overachiever in everything I did. Often,
getting frustrated when things did not go according to plan. I learned how to break the pattern and that it is not working harder that leads to success but working smarter. This theme followed me throughout my years, and this drive has fueled my purpose to support others on their mission.
Although I made great strides in my career, it was at the expense of other areas of my life, which led to inevitable depression and burnout. At the darkest point in my life, I stepped back and started to search for help in many places such as therapy and reading an “unhealthy” amount of self-help books. Along the way, I began to hear a lot about meditation and its life-changing effects. I didn’t buy into it at first, but being the adventurous type, I asked myself, what do I have to lose? I was already at the bottom. It wasn’t easy at first, but, over time, I started to see a remarkable improvement in my attitude and energy. This one habit change developed over time has become a game-changer.
Lesson 1: “Break the pattern: Take one tiny step toward a new goal and see what happens; after many tiny steps, you will eventually achieve your goal.”
As you are probably asking yourself at this point, is that the answer? Is meditation going to “fix” all my problems? Not necessarily. Meditation alone was not going to fix a lifetime of unhealthy mindset attitudes. The next big breakthrough for me came when I decided that I was going to adopt a new motto, “I am going to do something every day that scares me and see where it leads,” stepping out of my comfort zone until I find out what I am truly meant to do with my life.
Lesson 2: “Break the pattern: Life begins outside of your comfort zone.”
During this time of stepping out of my comfort zone, I decided to work with a coach, and I got my first taste of the power of coaching. I instantly connected with the coaching process; honest conversation, deep introspection, and powerful questions. The lightbulb went on, and I realized that I had found my true calling (it was calling for a long time but, I never listened). Inspired by my purpose to help people in their journey to find their true purpose and be fully engaged and energized in their life, I started Inspired Purpose Coaching. Nothing makes me more fulfilled than seeing my clients stepping into true leadership and going beyond what they thought possible.
Lesson 3: “Look for the pattern: Watch for signs of what lights you up, do more of that.”
As my adventure continues, I am driven by a desire to see my clients explore what is possible through deeper, honest conversations.
Through honest conversations, leaders like you can connect with your true purpose and make a positive impact on yourself and the world around you. Through honest conversations, you can challenge your mental models, breakthrough limiting beliefs, and overcome obstacles to create the life that you want to live.
